For this blog post we are going to talk about the future of some of the top wonder kids around the soccer world. A wonder kid is a very young player who has a lot of potential to become the future legends of the sport.

 

Jadon Sancho is a young englishman playing germany with borussia dortmund. He is valued at around 40 million pounds. After leaving manchester city this wonderkid is racking up lodes of goals and assists for a 18 year old. He looks to have a promising future at club and international level.

 

Marcus rashford is a current manchester united player and is valued at around 117 million pounds. The 21 year old has been with manchester united since the age of 7. He scored on his debut with the club in 2016. With his blistering pace he can beat any defender 1 on 1. Should he stay fit he looks to become a great player.

 

Ousmane dembele is a french player who has already made a move to a big club. The young winger is valued at 120 million pounds. He is a fast player with great dribbling skills and 2 right feet. Should he stay at barcelona he could be the heir to Messi.

 

Kylian mbappe is by far the best player on this list. The 19 year old is valued at 180 million pounds. He is already one of the best players in the world. He popped up at monaco at the age of 17 and got a move to psg after attracting interest from all over europe. If this player isn’t the best player in the world 5 years from now I would be extremely shocked. He is rapid and has great dribbling and finishing skills.

In 2009 cristiano ronaldo scored a thunderbolt from 30 plus yards. He scored the goal for manchester united with his shot nuckleballing into the top left corner of the goal and he celebrates with his teammates with the other team left in disbelief of his goal.

In 2010 in hamit altintop scored a stunning volley from the top of the box that should have ripped the net right off the goal. A corner kick is taken and hamit strikes the ball first time placing the ball in the top right corner leaving no chance for the keeper to stop the shot.

In 2011 neymar scored his famous goal playing in brazil where he starts his run by the half way line passes the ball to a teammate who passes it back. He dribbles at the defence before doing a fancy move destroying the defenders and poking the shot home.

In 2012 miroslav stoch scored a similar goal to the one scored in 2010. A corner kick was taken and it dropped at the top of the box and stoch connects with the ball and scores his shot in the top left corner .

In 2013 zlatan ibrahimovic scored one of the craziest goals in history. When sweden played england joe hart the england keeper came out of his box to clear a ball and he headed the ball away from goal. In classic zlatan style he turned around and bicycle kicked the ball from 25 plus yards into the net without looking at the goal.

In 2014 james rodriguez was on fire at the world cup. He secure a move to real madrid based on his performances in the world cup. His award winning goal was scored against uruguay when he controlled a pass with his chest at the top of the box and volleyed  the ball past the keeper.

In 2015 wendell lira finished a shot in a unnecessary way that would have angered fans had he not scored it. A teammate dinks the ball over the defence for wendell where he spins around and scissor kicks the ball into the net.

In 2016 faiz subri stepped up to a freekick 35 plus yards away from goal. He took a shot which curved so much it completely fooled the keeper. The outrageous shot swerved from one side of the goal to the other hitting the back of the net.

In 2017 olivier giroud scored a scorpion kick which is one of the hardest and best looking skills in the game. Alexis sanchez crossed a ball behind giroud and he connects with the ball behind his back which hit the crossbar and dropped across the line.

In 2018 mo salah scored a good goal but i should not have won the award. This goal didn’t even win goal of the month at the time. In salah’s best season to date he receives the ball on the right side of the box shimmied through 2 defenders before curling a shot into the top left corner.

 

The english premier league has seen many world class players over the years from strikers to goalkeepers. In this blog post we are going to go over the top 10 goalscorers in the premier league era.

 

10. Teddy sheringham

Teddy sheringham sits in the number 10 spot with 146 goals. He played for 6 teams in the league including tottenham west ham and manchester united. He is the oldest person to score a goal at 40 years and 266 days old.

 

9. Les ferdinand

 

Les ferdinand could sit higher on this list had it not been for a disappointing 5 years at tottenham hot spurs. He scored 149 goals playing for a bunch of teams in the league

 

8. Michael owen

 

Michael owen is another player who could sit higher on this list if he wasn’t plagued by injury. He scored 150 goals in his premier league career and is the only english player to win a ballon dor in the leagues existence

 

7. Jermain defoe

 

Jermain defoe scored 162 goals so far in his career as he is still playing. He could move higher in this list

 

6. robbie fowler

 

Robbie fowler is a liverpool legend being nicknamed god. He scored 163 goals in total with 120 of them coming at liverpool.

 

5. thierry henry

 

This amazing player scored 175 goals for arsenal alone. He is the only player to do so on this list. He could be higher if he spent more of his time in the prem

 

4.frank lampard

 

He is the highest scoring midfielder in the league’s history scoring 177 goals. He spent most of his time with chelsea before a strange move to manchester city for a season.

 

3. Andy cole

 

Andy cole scored 187 goals in the league with most of them coming for newcastle and manchester united.

 

2.  Wayne rooney

 

My personal favorite player on the list rooney scored 208 goals in his time in the prem. He started out at everton before moving to manchester united where he spent the best of his career before finishing out at everton

With 260 goals he is the top scorer the league has ever seen with nobody even coming close to him that is still playing. He played for blackburn and newcastle scoring over 100 goals for each team.

The newest real madrid manager after the departure of zidan could be facing the ax after he has lead the side to a terrible start of the season. They just broke a record for the longest time without scoring a goal in club history. not a record you want your name on. They are without a win in their last 5 games which is a rare occurrence for the club. The manager o spurs said that they are going to buy players in the january transfer window after signing 0 reinforcements during the summer which is rare for a side playing in 4 competitions this season. Cristiano ronaldo has become the first player in europe’s top 5 leagues to reach 400 goals. He scored 84 times for manchester united after joining them in 2003 311 times for real madrid and has scored 5 for his new club juventus in the italian league.lionel messi has picked up an arm injury during barcelona’s game with sevilla after scoring and assisting he is expected to miss 3 weeks. This means that this will be the first time in over a decade that ronaldo and messi will miss el classico. Tottenham hotspurs have been dealt a blow after getting more bad news regarding their new stadium. They have had to take out another 100 million dollar loan on top of their existing 400 million dollar loan after their new stadiums opening has been delayed due to faulty wiring. The side hopes to be in the new stadium by christmas but with thousands of miles of wiring to be checked it they might not be there until the spring.

The league is now 9 games in and the table is starting to take some shape. The top 4 are man city in first ahead of liverpool only by goal difference who are in second followed by chelsea and spurs who sit in 3rd and 4th. Arsenal and bournemouth make up the 5th and 6th place spots. There are still 2 teams without a win huddersfield and newcastle who are joined by fulham in the relegation zone.

It’s been 3 games since my last blog post so we are going to go over some results and stats. Manchester united faced west ham in game 7 which ended in a loss for the red devils after a very disappointing display. They then played new castle in game 8 in which they came back from 2-0 down after the first half to win 3-2 after strikes by mata martial and sanchez. Next the played chelsea and drew 2-2 with martial picking up 2 goals. There was some drama at the end of the game with a scuffle breaking out after a member of the chelsea staff taunted jose mourinho after barkley scored in injury time to tie the game at 2-2. Liverpool and manchester city have identical records with only goal difference splitting the two sides. Eden hazard is the the top scorer in the league on 7 goals followed by aguero of man city on 6 and mitrovic of fulham on 5. The top assisters are mendy of man city on 5 assists with callum wilson and abdoulaye doucoure on 4 each

We are now 6 games into the 2018/19 premier league season. Liverpool have had a historic start to the season winning 7 in a row. They have won all 6 of their games in the league so far and their first champions league game against paris saint germain (PSG) with a late goal. They defeated southampton on saturday in the league with a convincing 3-0 score line. Manchester United tied on the weekend 1-1. Fred opened his scoring account in Manchester in this game with a strike from the top of the box but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for the win one of Wolves  new signings also opened his scoring account in this game with a great volly from 15 yards out to tie the game up. The other team from Manchester looked like themselves in match day 6 defeating cardiff 5-0. Riyad Mahrez scored his first 2 goals for Man City in this game with Aguero, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan picking up the other 3. West Ham and Chelsea tied 0-0 in an uneventful game where both teams missed chances they should have scored or were terrifically saved by the keeper.

In the upcoming games in matchday 7 Man united have west ham, Arsenal have Watford, Spurs have Huddersfield town, Man city have brighton and hove albion. The biggest game of the week will undoubtedly be chelsea versus liverpool. Liverpool are my favorites for the match with their world class attack and passion but you can never count out chelsea’s Eden Hazard as he has been praised to be as good as to the 2 best players in the world Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

 

When I make these blog posts about the english premier league I have to watch the highlights from the games look at the scores read reports and talk to people that watched the games in order to figure out what to write. I find the scores of the big games on the by 433 app which has a minute by minute report of the game along with highlights and other interesting news such as transfers and injuries. For the smaller games I look at the one football app which gives me stats and scores of every game in all the leagues in europe not just the ones from england along with interviews with players and managers. Another place I look is a youtube channel called football daily and there other channels dedicated to soccer. I take the information and decide what games I want to write about and go for it.

On saturday Manchester United defeated Watford 2-1 in a strong display ending Watford’s winning streak. Goals from Chris Smalling and Romelu Lukaku put united 2-0 up with Watford only being able to pull one goal back. Unite jump up to 8th place. Chelsea beat newly promoted Cardiff 4-1 with Eden Hazard scoring a hat trick and Willian scoring a nice goal off the bench. Cardiff took the lead 1-0 but it was all downhill from there. The biggest game of the weekend was Liverpool versus Tottenham. Liverpool were up 2-0 by the 54th minute and spurs were only able to get one back late in the game.

Hello my name is Sean Cain a freshman at buffalo state college. This is my blog about the english premier league. In this blog I will be giving you rundown of the english premier league, Everything from what teams are on fire and what teams are cold to best goals, top goal/assist scorers and anything interesting that happens.

I got into soccer in the 5th grade when I moved to kenya for 2 years. It was my first day of school and I didnt know anyone yet and a boy named Cameron who turned out to be one of my best friends kicked me a soccer ball and asked if I wanted to come play. I decided to play and I scored 3 goals and it instantly became my favorite thing to do. My dad being english and a Manchester united fan was really happy when I told him I liked playing soccer and we started watching the games together on tv and i’ve been a huge fan ever since.

We are 4 games into the 2018-19 season and there are 3 teams on perfect form liverpool chelsea and surprisingly watford. The other 3 teams in the top 6 are Man city tottenham and another surprise bournemouth. I would expect the 2 surprises to be in  the top 6 after the next couple games .My team Manchester united sit in a disappointing 10th after winning 2 and losing 2 in their first 4 games. My prediction for the top 4 this year is 1st man city 2nd liverpool 3rd Manchester united and then tottenham. I think the top 4 could be shuffled around a little bit.
